Privacy Policy
Effective October 11, 2026
This policy explains what information the Nyack Maker Ornament Shop (nyackmaker.com), run by Town General Store, LLC of Nyack, New York, collects and how we use it. The short version: we collect only what we need to make and ship your order, and we never sell it.
What we collect
- Order details: the designs and names you choose, and quantities.
- Checkout details: your name, email address, and shipping address, entered on Stripe's secure checkout page.
- Payment information is collected and processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
- Messages you send us by email.
How we use it
- To make, ship, and track your order, and to send your receipt and order updates.
- To answer your questions and handle replacements or refunds.
- To keep the business and tax records we're required to keep, and to prevent fraud.
We don't send marketing emails unless you ask us to, and we don't sell, rent, or trade your information.
Who we share it with
Only the services needed to run the shop, and only what they need:
- Stripe, for payments and receipts.
- USPS and our shipping-label provider, for your name and address so we can ship your order.
- Netlify, which hosts this website and stores order records.
- Google Fonts, which supplies the site's typefaces (your browser requests the fonts directly from Google).
We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
Cookies and tracking
We don't use advertising or analytics trackers. Your cart is saved in your own browser's local storage so it's still there when you come back. You can clear it at any time by emptying your cart or clearing your browser data. Stripe uses its own cookies on its checkout page for security and fraud prevention.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for as long as needed to fulfill orders, handle replacements, and meet tax and accounting requirements, and then delete them.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you, correct, or delete the information we hold about you by emailing orders@nyackmaker.com. We'll keep only what we're legally required to keep.
Children
This shop is meant for adults buying gifts. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Security
The site uses encrypted (HTTPS) connections, payments are handled by Stripe, and order records are kept behind a password-protected admin area.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here with a new effective date.
